The EPA has suggested that UV printing is the most environmentally conscious method of printing today. Thus, in combination with BentleyRowland’s FSC-, SFI- and/or PEFC- certified stocks, there is simply no “greener” way to print.

The “eco-benefits” of HDUV include:

  • Low VOC Printing – Because UV inks contain no oils or solvents, the inks do not contain, nor emit, the primary properties contributing to the VOC and HAP emissions that cause ozone depletion.
  • Easier Recycling - UV printing is easier to recycle because the inks and coating are insoluble in water, and therefore easier to separate from the substrate. As an added “eco-benefit,” the recovered ingredients of UV inks are used to manufacture black UV ink.
