stochastic screening
For many printers, stochastic screening is still a pipe dream. But at BentleyRowland, stochastic screening, which randomly scatters tiny ink dots to achieve rich color halftones and exquisite detail, is our standard.
Stochastic screening is all about the distribution of dots, and the ability to vary their placement and intensity according to the desired tonal impact. Fewer dots are distributed to lighter page zones, more to the darker ones.
The end result is greater detail, less ink, the disappearance of moiré patterns, increased tonal values, crisper fine lines, cleaner type, and more amazing reverses. And we’re one of the only printers on the East Coast to have, and truly understand, this technology.
